Julie Belcove is an award-winning writer and editor based in New York City. Best known for her engaging coverage of the art world, she has written major profiles of scores of groundbreaking artists, including Jasper Johns, Kara Walker, Richard Serra, Agnes Martin, and Cindy Sherman, to name just a few. Extremely versatile, Julie has also penned celebrity profiles of figures such as Gwyneth Paltrow, David Lynch, and Alec Baldwin, as well as features on travel, design, dance, theater, and other topics. Her writing has been published in The New Yorker, The New York Times, Financial Times, WSJ., W, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, and Architectural Digest, among others. Julie is the author of Living With Chamberlain, Pop Art Style, and Iván Tovar: Masterpieces.

She did a seven-year stint as the features director at Robb Report, where she played a pivotal role in transforming the authoritative luxury magazine into a compelling read. There she edited long-form pieces on everything from fine watches and high jewelry to cars, travel, yachts, wine, food, and more. Previously, Julie served as deputy editor at W for nearly a decade, during which the magazine was a National Magazine Awards finalist multiple times. She oversaw the features, beauty, copy, and digital departments in addition to managing staff in the New York City headquarters and the Paris, London, and Los Angeles bureaus. She also conceived and edited W's annual Art Issue.

Julie graduated from Harvard University cum laude in History and Literature.
